House Of SalesComments Off
Robert Louis Stevenson said ‘Everything in Life is Selling’ and it is. Whether as a child you cry until you get what you want; whether as an adult you provide a service to your employer in return for payment; or whether as an individual you make sure that you look your best before meeting someone on a date, they can all be defined as selling.
Selling has been with us probably forever. It could be said that the first salesperson was probably the Serpent in the Garden of Eden. Selling apples in return for infinite wisdom may seem far removed from your own sales activities but they are nevertheless linked.
Selling is a professional skill which can be learned by anyone wanting to learn. Sales skills are not inherent. You can learn the same skills used by the most successful of salespeople but that does not guarantee that you will be successful in sales. As with anything that is skills based, ultimate success relies on internal motivational factors such as commitment, drive, determination and resilience.
There are several of things to bear in mind: -
• There is nothing new in selling. Most courses and most theories of selling look remarkably the same, simply because the basics of selling hold true whichever environment you work in.
• Selling is a lot simpler than some people make it out to be. That simplicity however belies the need to work hard at it. Acquiring selling skills requires significant practice.
• Selling is an honourable profession with a dishonourable reputation
• Some people appear to do it naturally
The problem is that whilst the skills of how to do this can be learned by everybody, not everybody wants to learn the skills. It is possible to provide you with all the knowledge and skills you will need to be a successful salesperson but unless you have the right attitude towards selling then the acquisition of this knowledge and the practice of the skills required will be wasted.
Here are some basic principles about selling and your role in the success of your company which should be the foundation stone of your route to sales excellence:
Treat Selling as a Profession
The reason why most people do not regard selling as a profession is that too many salespeople do not treat it as a profession. Professionals embark upon their careers by studying the subject in some depth; become qualified in their profession; practice the skills relentlessly; and update their knowledge and skills regularly.
Many salespeople adopt some of these principles in terms of product knowledge, but forget that the main tools of their trade are not the products they use, but the way in which they communicate. If we were to say that salespeople speak, then it would be an over-simplification of the power of speech. What made Humphrey Bogarde, Richard Burton, or James Mason famous had as much to do with the sound of their voices than of their acting ability.
Knowledge therefore should not be restricted to what you sell, but how you sell. Studying psychology, communication, and relationships should be as much a part of your induction to sales as a history of the company. Learning about how people react to one another is just as important as where your products are placed in the market. Understanding about buying motivation is as vital to a professional salesperson as understanding how the balance sheet works.
Accept Personal Responsibility for Sales Success
There is no such thing as luck in selling. Successful salespeople make their own luck. They engineer to be in the right place at the right time with the right product. Your sales success is dependent upon you and no one else. Theirs might contribute to it, in the same way that you contribute to the overall success of your company, but in terms of your own performance then you are responsible. Accepting personal responsibility puts you in charge.
Understand Yourself
If you analysed what motivates you, you will be well on the road to knowing what motivates others. Self-analysis is a prerequisite for sales success. Set goals, priorities and deadlines. Those who are achievers do not rely on luck but generally have a game plan that they work to. They know what they want and work towards achieving it.
Understand that Customers will buy ‘expensive’ when appropriate
If people only bought what was cheap then all companies would be selling the same thing. There are companies selling items which are more expensive than yours and companies selling items which are cheaper than yours. People buy what they believe satisfies what they want. Your own house will be crammed full of things which you could not justify on price alone - your customers are the same. Most customers buy things without comparing them. Think of the last five items you bought and what comparisons you made before parting with your money.
Treat Customers how you want to be treated
An old maxim in selling is ‘If you do what’s right for enough other people, they will do what is right by you’. Speak to people how you would like to be spoken to. Treat them how you would like to be treated. It won’t work every time, but even the times it doesn’t will physically and mentally make you feel better.
Age, Gender and Experience count for nothing
Successful salespeople come in all ages, from each gender, and have varying degrees of experience. Sales success is no respecter of age or experience. Buyers will buy from people whom they trust and trust is a matter of reaction to the behaviour of others not grey hair or the sharing of the sports news. That said, image is important, and yet everybody can improve image.
Persevere
Your attitude should be that everyone wants to buy from you at some time. Providing that you keep in touch on a regular basis, one day you will be in the right place at the right time with the right proposal. Most unsuccessful salespeople stop contacting customers on the occasion just before the one on which they buy.
The best of salespeople are usually those who have doubts about their ability to the extent that they are constantly trying to improve themselves in case anybody finds them out!
Learning is a never-ending experience. Someone once said ‘To cease to learn is to cease to live’. I encourage you to live a little.

Promensil is a natural dietary isoflavone supplement derived from red clover for women during and after menopause. Promensil and Rimostil are dietary supplements made from red clover, which contains estrogen-like compounds called isoflavones. A study was conducted on 177 women aged 49-65 to determine the effect of red clover-derived isoflavone supplement on bone density. A recent study investigated the effectiveness of a red clover isoflavone supplement on the change in hot flush frequency in postmenopausal women. Tested were supplements containing soy isoflavones, red clover isoflavones and/or black cohosh as well as creams containing progesterone. Our soy isoflavone supplement contains 10.73 mg of genistein and 22.25 mg of daidzein per capsule. Cognition: Three human trials have found that soy foods and isoflavone supplements improve certain aspects of cognition. Soy protein and isoflavone supplements have not been adequately researched and, therefore, are not recommended at this time. New onset migraine associated with use of soy isoflavone supplements. ( Reports of hormonal effects in men from dietary soy or isoflavone supplementation are inconsistent, showing no or weak hormonal effects. Thus, the weight of evidence does not strongly support the view that supplementation of the diet with soy or isoflavones alleviates menopausal symptoms. Bioavailability of pure isoflavones in healthy humans and analysis of commercial soy isoflavone supplements. Two of the primary soy isoflavones, genistein and daidzein, are found in many supplements. Another problem, hardly ever discussed, is the variable amounts of isoflavones in soy supplements, and how these differ from the levels in soy foods.
Clinicians and researchers are understandably cautious about recommending isoflavone supplements in the treatment of cancer. Because of the estrogen-like behavior of isoflavones, there’s some concern that isoflavone supplements could cause cancer. A pilot clinical trial of short-term isoflavone supplements in breast cancer patients. A pilot clinical study of short-term isoflavone supplements in breast cancer patients.
Participants will receive an isoflavone supplement and placebo each for 2-months. Volunteers will be randomly assigned to take two different doses of isoflavone supplement or a placebo (sugar pill). Study 1 was a randomised crossover study whereby subjects consumed a placebo or isoflavone supplement for 2 months and crossed over. Study 2 was a parallel design in which subjects consumed a placebo for 1 month and an isoflavone supplement for 3 months.
If the isoflavone supplement is estrogenic via ER, it should up-regulate OTR in a manner similar to that of estrogen. However, the isoflavone supplement significantly decreased the induction of OTR by estrogen in the VMN. Again, if the isoflavone supplement is estrogenic, it should down-regulate ER mRNA in a manner similar to that of estrogen. Similarly, ingestion of the isoflavone supplement in combination with both estrogen and progesterone significantly decreased female receptive behavior.

Choosing which blogging platform to use is one of the most important decisions that you can make as a blogger. The right platform can make blogging a breeze, and the wrong platform can make blogging a chore. Because the program that you use to blog with is such a powerful part of your blogging experience, it is well worth putting in the time to find a platform that provides your ideal balance between a user-friendly interface and a flexible framework that allows you to make your blog look and feel unique. Finding the right platform isn’t always easy, but with a little bit of contemplation and a little bit of research, you will be on your way to finding the perfect blogging platform.
Deciding what your priorities are in terms of ease of use versus customization. Most highly customizable blogging platforms, like moveable type, are a bit more difficult to use than very automated platforms like wordpress. If you are new to blogs and to internet technology, you might want to sacrifice the ability to create a custom background design or to integrate a unique font into your template in order to find a program that will be easy for you to use. On the other hand, if you are a veteran web designer with knowledge of html or javascript, you will probably find the limitations of a user-friendly platform to be frustrating.
There is no such thing as a blogging platform that is objectively the best platform, because every blogger has unique needs. The blogging movement is very much about individuality, so it makes plenty of sense that there would be many different platforms available that are designed to meet the needs of different kinds of individuals undertaking different kinds of projects. This diversity is a good thing, because it means that you will almost certainly be able to find a program that suits your level of technical aptitude.
However, the fact that no two bloggers need the same thing from a blogging platform can make your search for the right platform a bit tricky. When you are reading reviews of different platforms, try to keep your priorities in mind and do your best to take into account the position that the reviewer is coming from. For example, a negative review written by an accomplished software designer who complains that a popular platform is too limited may tell you that the platform in question is ideal for a beginning blogger. There is no such thing as the perfect platform for everybody, so instead of looking for the “best” platform, look for the best platform for your specific criteria.

There are many different kinds of dog training available. There are also many different places to go for your dog training. All of these types of dog training courses can vary in price and they also teach different things. If you are interested in starting dog training, you should know what your options are.
The first type of dog training course is for puppies. This type of dog training is usually called puppy preschool. The puppy preschool course is for puppies between 6 weeks and 5 months old. The classes usually go for 6 to 8 weeks. In this dog training course, your puppy will mostly learn socialization with other puppies and people. You will also begin to teach it to sit, stay, and come.
The next type of dog training is called basic dog training. This is for any dog that is at least 5 months old. The class is usually 8 to 10 weeks long. In the basic course you teach your dog how to walk on a leash, sit, stay, come, and heel.
The next type of dog training is intermediate dog training. The intermediate course goes over the basic dog training again, but in more detail. It will also teach your dog to follow instruction from other people, as well as learn to stay for longer periods of time.
This dog training course usually lasts 8 to 10 weeks and is available to dogs that are at least 5 months old that have either completed the basic dog training course, or know the basic commands taught by there owner.
The next dog training course is advanced dog training. Here the intermediate course is gone over again as well, but in more detail. Your dog will learn to sit and stay even if you are not within its view.
They also begin to learn how to walk beside you without a leash. The dog training also prepares a dog to take the Canine Good citizen dog training course. The course is 8 to 10 weeks long and only available to dogs that have completed intermediated training.
The last type of dog training is the Canine Good Citizen dog training. Canine Good Citizen teaches the 10 aspects necessary to pass the canine good citizen test and get certified in it.
This dog training is only available to the dog that has completed several of the other courses. The dog must also be extremely well behaved as the test is very difficult. The course can last several weeks, depending on if your dog can pass.
This is all of the necessary information you need to help you figure out what dog training course to put your dog in. If you are unsure, you can call local dog trainers to get better advised at what your dog is ready for.

In order to make the most of your weight loss program, finding
the most effective ways to burn fat will maximize your results
and minimize your waistline! Follow these 10 tips for fat
burning if you want to lose weight and lead a healthier way of
life.
1.) Drink More Water
One of the best weight loss secrets is to ditch the sodas and
stick to water! Experts say you should drink approximately eight
glasses of water a day to stay hydrated and healthy. Instead of
turning to calorie-laden or sugar-rich drinks, grab a refreshing
glass of water. In addition to flushing toxins out of your
system, drinking water encourages you to build muscle.
2.) Eat More Meals
A traditional three-meals-a-day plan just will not cut it if you
are in the market to burn fat. Your body is not able to
metabolize large meals and will quickly turn any excess into
fat. Many experts believe you should eat six small meals a day.
Be sure you cut back on your food consumption at each meal, or
else you will be doubling your intake–and doubling your fat
storage!
3.) Work Out with Weights
One great way to maximize the amount of fat you are burning is
to add a weight program to your work out routine. Weight
training will not only tone your physique, but will strengthen
your body and improve your general health. Lifting weights will
also burn calories and fat more quickly than traditional
exercising, and it will also boost your metabolism.
4.) Choose Protein
Choose protein-laden foods for boosting your metabolism and
enabling your body to burn fat rapidly. In addition to burning
fat, consuming a protein-enriched diet will help you rebuild
muscle after work outs and maintain leanness of that muscle.
Wisely choose proteins for your diet. Take great care to pick
proteins low in fat so you do not consume extra calories.
5.) Cut Calories Wisely
It may be tempting to drastically cut your calorie intake when
starting a healthy lifestyle. Instead, use a step method when
cutting your calorie intake to minimize risk. Reducing calories
too quickly results in your body rapidly burning all available
calories, which will lower your metabolism. Furthermore, you are
more likely to maintain your healthy lifestyle through this step
method.
6.) Reward Yourself
When it comes to successfully dieting to burn the most fat, be
sure to reward yourself. Everyone has temptations and favorite
treats–so allow indulgence. You will be less likely to cheat on
your new diet if you grant yourself small rewards. If you are a
chocolate lover, treat yourself to a small square of chocolate
or single chocolate kiss each evening.
7.) Avoid Marathon Work Outs
The biggest mistake people make when looking to burn fat and
lose weight is to have one long, extensive work out session.
Instead, break up your work out plan into small chunks
throughout the day. Take a brisk walk in the morning, enjoy a
work out at lunch, and then exercise more in the evening. In
addition to staying active all day long, breaking up your work
out will better maintain your metabolism.
8.) Mix It Up
Choosing to engage in a variety of quality exercises will keep
your interest and best allow you to maintain your goal of
burning fat. Instead of doing the same exercises each day–mix
it up! Opt to swim laps one day, jog another, and bike the next.
Rotating your activities will not only allow you to experience a
variety of athletics, it will also allow you to better tone your
body.
9.) Skip Happy Hour
For those individuals who want to burn fat quickly, avoid
alcohol. Rich in sugars and carbohydrates, alcohol is a
calorie-rich substance. These empty calories can add up quickly
and take away from necessary nutrients that should be included
in your daily diet. Furthermore, alcohol acts as an inhibitor
for burning fat, allowing your body to store it more quickly.
10.) Try a Low GI Diet
A low GI diet is an excellent method of burning fat quickly.
This diet encourages individuals to consume high amounts of
foods with low rankings on the Glycemic Index. These foods are
nutritious and will aid your body in burning fats and calories
at a quicker pace. This diet includes many of your favorite
fruits, vegetable, meats, dairy, and grain products.

As a business owner, wouldn’t it be great if you could take time off whenever you needed to? Unfortunately, most small business owners worry that the business will fall apart if they’re not there to mind the store. Too often, they simply lack the appropriate resources for their business to keep going in their absence.
“Taking time off is as important as food,” says Charles Tuttle, leader of a group of entrepreneurs in North Carolina. Don’t worry if this statement raises a red flag for you. Although taking time off can be especially challenging and downright impossible sometimes, it’s important to know that you can do something to make it happen. It takes deliberate work on your part and here are a few simple ideas to get you started.
Find a way to make work fun. If your work is stressful, build in laughter to ease the stress and tension. Take frequent breaks to stretch or breathe if you’re sitting all day. Fun makes the passing of the day more enjoyable. Try it and watch your fabulous day unfold!
Take leisure time in smaller chunks. Look at opportunities to journal, meditate or read between appointments and activities. It may seem pointless but it goes a long way in developing your time management skills while caring for your need to unplug. Tap into a little bit of spare time in your productivity process. It’s a great way to balance the scales in your favor!
Plan personal time on your calendar. Your calendar reflects your commitment to priorities or what’s important in your life. Typically, if you set aside the time on your calendar, you will observe it. Plan, then act to ensure you’re creating plenty of break time and doing something important in your life. You’ll have a greater sense of integrity and accomplishment at the same time.
Consider taking time off on a weekday. Who said you can only have fun on the weekends? Take time off in the middle of the week or even at the beginning! You’ll be surprised at how imaginative you’ll become while creating your fun time.
Identify unconventional ways to take time off. Time off may mean snuggling on the couch in your favorite bathrobe. It may also mean turning the ringer on the phone off, turning the TV and radio off or going to a park to feed the ducks. Your assignment (should you choose to accept it) is to get away from your business - whatever that means for you. Most entrepreneurs are in business because it offers freedom and flexibility so learn to capitalize on it!
Acknowledge yourself weekly for your accomplishments. What you do is hard work so pat yourself on the back for it! Select rewards that nurture and care for you like a facial, manicure, massage or other spa treatment. Treat yourself to a movie or read a good book. The more you acknowledge your progress, the more you’ll enjoy the journey!
Reward yourself for completed projects. You deserve a reward for completing the big projects in your business. Accordingly, let the reward match the milestone you reach when you complete a project. Plan a day trip, weekend getaway, or seven-day cruise. Whatever you enjoy, these are moments to treasure. Establish your reward at the beginning of the project so you’ll have an incentive to motivate to move you forward.
These are a few simple ideas to help you practice taking time off from your business. Remember, whether you’re just starting, squeezing a few moments out here and there or in full throttle, taking time off is good not only for you. It’s great for your business, too!

Web + MoreComments Off
Whether you are starting with a new site or you already have an
existing one, you need to spend a little time on choosing the
keywords that you want your site to be found with.
Keywords are the terms that people will type into a search
engine to find your product or service.
Spend some time and consider what someone looking for your
product or service might type into a search engine to find you.
Maybe ask some friends what they would type into find your
service etc.
Unfortunately if you don’t have these keywords/terms actually in
your website, you have no chance of coming up high in search
results for them. Search engines like relevant content. If you
don’t have content relevant to the search term (keyword) used,
your site won’t come up in the search engines results.
Where should you put your keywords on your website? I’ll tell
you…
Before I do though a word of warning - don’t just list keywords
and terms over and over throughout your website - you’ll get
banned from search engines for what’s known as spamming. You
need to be clever and not over do it.
Firstly add a keyword or two in your meta title tag
Rather than just titling your main page home, or the name of
your company etc put a couple of keywords in there. For example
- if your website sells handmade candles, you might use “Quality
handmade candles” do get the idea?
Then in the meta keyword tag
List your chosen keywords here. Just separate them by a comma.
Pick between three and ten keywords depending on the size of
your website and the amount of different products/services you
offer.
Then put some in the meta description tag
This is often the text that comes up below your websites title
in search engine results. Write a short sentence about your site
and include a few keywords. For example - Back to the handmade
candles again. If the candle company was based in the UK you
might write something like this.
“UK based handmade candle company specialising in traditional UK
styles. Check out our online shop for special offers, and to
view our candle designs and prices”
Try and fit keywords into you website internal links
Make sure your linking text includes some keywords. So rather
than having a link that says “products designs”, you might call
it “candle designs” etc.
Try and do as many links as possible in this way. Obviously only
use relevant keywords for the page that is displays…..
Use heading tags and include keywords here
Much the same as the links really - try and include keywords in
the heading that are relevant to the text below it. So rather
than having a section headed “design”, you could call it “candle
designs”. Search engines scan heading tags like you and I scan
newspaper headings. Do you get the idea?
Use them in your written text
Don’t over do it here - just write quality relevant content and
sprinkle in the keywords and terms. As with all of this
sections, when you look for the opportunity to include some
keywords you can usually see where you can slightly alter
something and fit one in.
It’s all about peppering your keywords in and taking advantage
of an opportunity that your competition might miss. Look for the
opportunities to improve the keyword content.
Do this to every page
This is where many people fall down. They just change their
home/main page. If you do this you are missing the benefits of
individually optimising each page with different relevant
keywords and titles etc etc.
Bottom line - would you rather have one page in the top ten of
Google for one keyword, or would you rather have ten pages all
coming up for different keywords relevant to each individual
page……The more pages ranked well the better.

The second government agency involved in the immigration process is the National Visa Center (NVC). The purpose of this agency seems to be to collect money as inefficiently as possible.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service sent our paperwork to the NVC in August 2004, it arrived in October 2004. By pony express obviously!
At this point we started the actual process of getting the visa. A call to the NVC gathered the information that everything should take from two weeks to 45 days. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out that way.
Here’s what the process is really like. First, the NVC sent us a letter for my wife to sign making me her agent. This took from October to December. She signed the form and we sent it back.
Several weeks later we received a request for $65.00. This was the fee for the I-864 Statement of Support. We sent the required amount of money via money order. Approximately six weeks later we received the I-864.
After receiving the I-864 we filled it out and returned it to the NVC.
About six weeks or so later we received a request for $335.00. This fee was required to process the actual visa application. At this time we were informed that my wife would need a Mexican passport with at least eight months remaining.
By now we’d figured these people out and ordered a five year passport from the Mexican government.
After sending in this latest fee bill, we waited almost eight weeks before the DS-230 arrived. We filled out this form and sent part one back. You have to keep part two for later.
Finally after over seven months, our paperwork was sent to the US consulate in Ciudad Juarez.
Not everything at the NVC is bad. They were much more responsive than the Immigration and Naturalization people. In fact, they have a number you can call and get the status of your paperwork. That number is: (603 334-0700).
You can visit their website at http://www.state.gov
Now that our paperwork was at the US Consulate the waiting was over, or was it…

Debt consolidation is the name given to a very popular process of debt settlement in the UK. Debtors didn’t have lesser choices before the conception of debt consolidation techniques, for settling their debt load. Debt consolidation however allowed them to settle debts under the guidance of experts- that is what the debt settlement agencies refer themselves to. Several years of experience has made them adept at designing debt solutions for the debtors. They can easily decipher the effectiveness of debt solution from the kind of debts that the individual has incurred.
UK Debt consolidation gets its name from a sub-process involved in the debt settlement. During this stage the borrower (debtor) is required to list all debts on a piece of paper. There is no pre-stated format in which this needs to be done. Borrowers are free to use the method that suits them most. It will be better if debts are categorised. One look at the list shows the category of debts holds a prominent place. The process of debt consolidation allows the debt settlement agencies to immediately get to the work of debt elimination.
Debt consolidation is a part of debt settlement, constituting the initial stages of the process. The stage holds a place of prominence in the entire scheme of things. The task of remembering debts owed to each creditor is an arduous task. Debt consolidation too requires borrower to remember debts, but in a more systematic manner. The fear of debts being left behind and swelling further with interest is dismissed through the use of debt consolidation.
The actual process of debt settlement starts only after debt consolidation loan or debt consolidation mortgage starts functioning. Debt consolidation loan and debt consolidation mortgage constitute the debt management techniques commonly used in the UK. Each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. A consideration of these advantages and disadvantages will form the basis for selection of appropriate debt management techniques.
Ddebt consolidation loan is a regular loan moulded to cater to the debt-ridden residents of the UK. Loan is borrowed in order to settle debts. Though secured debt consolidation loan is preferred largely, there are many borrowers who would opt for the unsecured version. There is a need for collateral in secured debt consolidation loan. Several assets like stocks and shares and automobiles form collateral for the purpose. Unsecured debt consolidation loans however, free the borrower of the need to offer collateral. The increase in risk, brought about as a result of no collateral, is compensated through a strictness of terms. Consequently, APR on an unsecured debt consolidation loan is higher than on secured debt consolidation loan.
Debt consolidation mortgage adds debts to an existing mortgage. Though on the face of things it appears that you are paying for a mortgage, you are actually paying for your debts. The mortgagee, in exchange of promise to repay through regular installments, disburses off debts of borrower.
Help through negotiation is other important help provided by debt consolidation agencies. Though the facility is optional, no borrower would like to lose on the opportunity of having debt consolidation agencies by their side. The debt settlement agencies would represent the borrower, minimising contact between the debtor and creditor. Debt consolidation agencies in UK adopt several methods to bring down the repayable amount. Greater advantage lies with the borrower if the amount of debts to repay is lesser.
Supervision needs to be carried out on the manner of functioning of the debt consolidation agency. Since the debtor himself best knows his finances, he can provide valuable directions to the debt consolidation agency. The borrower also has to confirm through proper checks and comparisons that the loan or mortgage offered to them is the best that they could have availed through any other lender with a similar set of circumstances.
