I have had ATT TV service set up for over a week so far. An similar package through any cable provider would be almost double what I am paying AT T’s Television service. I greatly respect U-Verse extending a great complete bundle that stops from nailing customers with a bunch of unncecessary charges. 3 boxes (1 with DVR capabilities) are included in the price. HD included for free for one year - only $10 per year after the promotional period ends… not bad considering ATTU-Verse provides at least twice the number of HD channels that Comcast offers in Indianapolis.
Station shifting is relatively instant. Almost as fast as our old cable. On Demand (Pay-per-view) content is decent but not on par with the selection extended by other providers. I had a get together the night after initial set up - my friends wanted to watch MMA
Boxing, but U-Verse didn’t have it. When I called, the agent I spoke with had accepted many similar calls.
Equipment overall functions as publicized. Right now, there are only 4 TV flows available in the LA marketplace. I have only run out of streams once - even after interchanging all 42 of my series tapings from my Comcast box! (You can get some of your DVR’s settings from your personalized U-Verse AT&T homepage - sweet plus). I do not have high def, thus no need. Watching an HD station takes up 2 streams - the leftover flows can only be used for standard definition stations. The word is that, a upping of the number of TV streams happening at the end of the spring. Also, AT&T will be adding the capability to view DVR shows from any unit.
