Feng shui has been noted for years for its use in increasing riches and creating a successful career. Feng shui is not limited to just employing a tabletop fountain in your office or occupation. Most people do not understand that feng shui office uses are not limited to just contributing a tabletop fountain to your desk.

Don’t make these 3 mistakes when applying feng shui to your office.

  1. When selecting your seating location, make sure you are facing the entryway of your cube. Don’t let your back face the front of your cube.
  2. If you work from home, integrate your home life with your work-life by making your work table face towards the entry of your work room, rather than towards the wall.
  3. Work-tables should be ordered so that they are destined facing each other rather than away from each other. A lot of NJ Tax Acccoutants have reportedly improved the concord and relationships with their employees by expending this one concept. A tabletop fountain will unquestionably raise the calmness of your business office if you prefer to décor your place with it.
  4. Don’t ignore the harmful consequences of geopathic tension when you are looking for an office-location. Coaching from a registered dowser may be taken to straighten out the distressing vigor that is created from geopathic tension or electromagnetic stress.

In The End, do not stage your office-furniture so that it appears out-of-alignment and cumbersome. That’s not what feng shui is about. Skillful professional service providers, particularly an NJ Accountant, can harvest the indisputable advantages of adding a tabletop fountain to his or her desk.

Feng shui applications and tabletop fountains are closely interconnected. It is illustrious that a technically manufacted tabletop fountain conveys wealth and successfulness to one’s life. If used wrongly and unsuitably, a tabeltop fountain can induce more damage than good.

Here are the top 3 feng shui errors to stay away from when embracing with a tabletop fountain:

  1. Positioning a tabletop fountain on the left-hand position of the doorway is of utmost significance. By stationing the water fountain on “left” side of the door, you strengthen your relationships and avert the risks of promiscuosness. Your partner may potentially cheat on you. Left side here pertains to the side that comes up when you look at the door from interior of the house.
  2. Making sure that the size of the fountain is proportional to the size of the room is remarkable. When you choose a water fountain that is too big (e.g. a shishi odoshi) for the room size, you end up experiencing damaging energy because of over-optimized energy.
  3. Statuettes and other decorative elements for your fountain need to be carefully chosen. For instance, a statuette of a dragon depicting unfavorable emotions should be avoided at any cost. A blessed angel statuette or a fairy statuette are ideal for ornamenting your tabletop fountain.

All the gains of a tabletop fountain are bound to be yours if you incorporate these fortified lessons in your business decoration, whether you are an NJ Accountant or an AZ lawyer.

It’s not that you fail when you fill somebody with light and then release them, and then turn around and stick your foot in your mouth; it’s that there’s some stuff going on. What we talked about previously, about the ways in which we utilize the techniques of Deity Yoga in our daily lives, is this very thing. We identify with the orientation of being victimized within a situation. We allow that sense of being victimized to be the superstructure of our perception upon which all circumstance, all perceived circumstance, is kind of hung. So that eventually, no matter how positive the circumstance on a momentary basis may be, we’re going to see it in terms of our victimization.
In other words, that superstructure is kind of like the core flavor, or the fundamental note, in interpreting phenomena, and that’s why after a while, we just couldn’t hold the new position as easily.

It literally organizes your perception of circumstance around it, so that no matter what the circumstance may be, it takes the form of the organizing superstructure. Now, it’s really great to recognize that this happens in us, and that this happens on a regular basis. This is the way we live our lives.

It truly is a gift, because with it is a recognitionagain, going back to the ideals of The Everyday Sanyasinthat we have the power to change. The power to change is in of itself a very empowering experience. If you feel you have the power to change then you won’t be looking for that power outside of yourself. And if you are not looking for that power outside of yourself then your lack of dependency on others actually makes you more powerful because you are not depending on them for your power!

When I take a bath, I often find myself doing some thinking. This reflecting is usually about my life. It is not one particular thing…it is everything and nothing. Then before I know what is happening, I feel the tears drop ever so slightly on my cheeks. When this occurs, I only allow it to go on for about five minutes. Then I tell myself to snap out of it and think of all of the blessings in my life.

This bath moment just happened again. As I got out of the bathtub this time, I wondered why this happens and more importantly what exactly it accomplishes. I realize it accomplishes absolutely nothing. It doesn’t even necessarily make me feel better when it happens. I am not saying that crying doesn’t help sometimes, I am just saying this five minute crying over nothing yet everything doesn’t seem to help…and it is almost a routine.

Why am I crying? What am I crying for? I think I may know the reason, yet I am not sure (which sounds really convincing, I know). In this tub time, I am thinking about all different things in my life…things I have, don’t have, want to do, don’t like, etc. The issue is I feel like I cannot change the things that need to be changed. For instance, I would like to have a companion. Not just any companion, the right one. We, as humans, sometimes think we are due or owed something. I have done nothing to necessarily “deserve” a companion, yet I think everyone is due one. Just because I want one, it doesn’t mean it is going to happen right when I want it…yet I still want it.

One of my mottos is, “Refuse to Settle.” I am very passion about it and live by it in everything I do, which is why my life is exactly as it is. I think it is truly the only way to live. When a person settles, it says the person does not deserve what she thinks she deserves. I think everyone deserves the best, whatever their opinion of “the best” is for them. I don’t think anyone should settle in any aspect of his/her life. There are moments when you have to take a less job, in order to get to the job you ultimately want to do. You cannot start off as the CEO of a company, unless that company is your own. In order to put yourself through school, you may have to take a job with flexible hours. These are considered compromises.

I have had to figured out the hard way that I needed to live my life according to my own rules. I have stood up for myself against people who wanted me to work at a job that did not interest me. It was one of the most difficult things I have ever done, but it was also the most liberating. I could no longer live my life for someone else or according to someone else’s rules or thoughts of what was best for me. It is not easy to speak out against people you look up to or love. This is the first step to gain the power of your own life. This is the best way to truly know yourself and what is best for you. No one knows you like you know yourself. You cannot let others dictate your life. They are not living your life. They don’t have to go to job everyday they hate. When you decide to take the path of refusing to settle, it is not an easy one. I could be in a job making a good deal of money but not really like the job. I decided this would not allow me to be happy, for the money would be a temporary fix. Then where would I be? I would have spent 50 hours a week for 50 years hating what I have done and what I did not try to do. You must be willing to take a risk to receive a greater reward. You don’t want to end up regretting not having done something, when you had the chance.

In not settling, my personal life leaves a lot to be desired. I have never really had a serious relationship, and I date very seldom (actually it is not existent at the time). I have known too many people who get married to the wrong person and end up miserable. I refuse to be like that…looking back on my personal life wondering who the “the one” actually is. Since I have this perspective, my relationships last very short. Once I know he is not “the one,” I end it. To me, there is no point in dragging it out, just for the sake of having someone there. The longer the relationship lasts, the more difficult it is to terminate it. When someone pressures you into staying in a relationship, you need to think, “You are not dating this person who is not supportive/compassionate/loving.” You have to decide what is best for you and what will ultimately allow you to be happy…happy being who you truly are in your soul.

I never feel obligated to anyone but myself. If I don’t want a job, I don’t take it. If I don’t want to go, I won’t go. There is only so much time in a day, and there are a million things I could be doing. My time is too precious to spend it doing things that I have no desire to be doing. Years ago, I used to go dancing with my friends, but I hated the place we would go. Every time we’d go, the minute we got there, I would want to leave. I absolutely hated every minute of it, and the time just seemed to drag. I went, because I wanted to spend time with my friends. As I’ve gotten older, I have realized that if my friends want to spend time with me, we can compromise on what we will be doing. I don’t want them to spend the night in misery, and they should want the same for me. If they don’t, then they aren’t your true friends, because real friends will understand if you don’t want to do something or go somewhere.

Do you want to live life as a prisoner, giving your freedom to someone else? By refusing to settle, you are taking your own life by the reins, and you will realize that you are the only one making choices for your own life. You will know what is right for you. Your heart will speak volumes to you. You will see the signs and feel the desire to break free. People will give you advice and suggestions. It is perfectly fine to listen to them, but you must know that you will be making the final decision. After all, it is your life you are leading. No one, besides you, can decide what is best for your life. Stand up for yourself. If you can’t stand up for yourself, you can’t expect other people to do it for you. When you have this mastered, you will be able to stand up for others. You will allow others to know it is possible to be the best of who they are, but first, they must take control of their own life.

When I need to snap myself out of these bath moments, I focus on how my life would have been had I not taken control of it. I would be in a dead-end job, making decent money, but hating every morning I had to get up and go to work, while trying to find any possible way to make the weekend longer. I would still be in a relationship where the guy did not realize his full potential, and he would be stuck in a job he hates. He would be coming home to me every day with stress, frustration, and aggravation, and I would have to deal with the pressure from that. This would allow me to regret those decisions in life. I don’t like living with regrets, and I try to live regret free. I have a couple of regrets that existed before I gained my “Live With No Regrets” motto. This type of non-productive, negative attitude filled life would make me think, “What would my life be like if I had never settled?” When this question comes into my mind, I know I have made the right choices in life.

Next time a tear falls when I am in the tub, it will be because I realize my life is exactly how it should be. I don’t have a companion, because there are other tasks I need to accomplish first, before the right one comes into my life. I don’t have the perfect job, because I must conquer and learn other things. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. My life is exactly how it should be. Freedom is such a precious gift that many people take for granted. Being a prisoner is no way to live your life. The freest way to live life is to take control of your reins and never let go for someone else.

After earning a bachelor’s degree and while earning a master’s degree, both in marketing, Jessica Rector began to second guess herself and her career choice. Although she enjoyed this field, she felt her passion was elsewhere. She says, “Although I wasn’t sure what it was, I felt there was something missing in the marketing field for me. So, I set out to find what what I really wanted to do. I needed to listen to what my heart and soul were saying to me.” Through this journey, Ms. Rector traveled down paths that allowed her to take control over her life. She had her own television talk show in Los Angeles for two years. She currently spends her time empowering, edifying, and motivating others to live their life to the fullest.

Why are so many people today seeking the intangible outside of them?
Yes there are people that are looking inward, and usually it isn’t easy to go inward. Why is this? Because when we look on the inside for the answers we usually discover the past, our memories and everything in between.

There are many courageous individuals on the path to sheer peace, and there are many that are going in the opposite direction.

What direction are you going in?

How did you get onto this direction?

Is this the direction still the direction you want to be on?

What direction would you like to be going in?

On this direction what does it look like? Smell like? Taste like? Sound like?

Going back to the begin of this article I mentioned that you have to look within, this is a great starter, but what about the main issue, the main thing is then to walk your talk - so you have read a lot of spiritual books, attended a lot of workshops, but what have you done with that knowledge?

1. Putting that knowledge to use in your life is the next stage.

Okay, so you have self awareness and you are walking your talk. The next thing is to review the results that you are getting in your life. Are they expressing the life of you and your peace that you have been sharing with the universe.

2. Review, and sit on this for a while. Sit and think, review the past weeks, what went well? What didn’t go that well?

After completing your self assessment the next stage toward pure peace is to learn from your reflection. You should write down in your journal what you have learnt.

3. Learn from your reflection

Now that you have learnt from your reflection you then can apply/ and adjust your actions that you are taking in your life.

4. Adjust actions to get a better outcome

Upon reflecting, the summation of life is often a culmination of special memories. Yes, I realize that it is far more including ones that we would as soon forget. A return visit after decades to a childhood vacation spot allowed me to relive some joyous moments. Such opportunities seldom come along, and when they do, they are often a major disappointment. But my return to Lakeside, Ohio lived up to the memories. I grew up in a family filled with love, a wondrous gift that I wish every child had. A better childhood could not have been had.

Despite that knowledge, I often looked upon friends with envy when they spoke of their travels. Since my father owned a business, we seldom were able to take traditional vacations. Thus, when Mom and Dad announced that we would vacation along Lake Erie, my three sisters and I were amazed and excited. Despite the fact that the lake was only 90 miles away, that did not matter. I had only heard of this mystical body of water in school and from friends. Besides, we were even allowed to bring along one friend. I credit that vacation as a major epiphany within my life.

The seeds of curiosity and adventure were sown on that visit to this church resort upon the lake. Recently, when I returned overnight with two friends and stayed in a small cottage in the tranquil environment of this Methodist resort, I again returned and savored those memories of youth. I again saw twelve year old Bobbie, one of my first fantasy girls, giggling with her friend; my deceased father taking my reluctant hand up the convocation steps; David, the now millionaire stockbroker, was again my best friend; and the Lake Erie islands a few miles offshore that wetted my adventurous appetite, still beckoned.

I hope each of you have your own Lakeside memories that you can recall in times of need to bring that secret smile to your face.

Intuitive sensing is linked directly to ancestral, primordial survival traits. With the modernization and industrialization of society, primitive survival traits become less and less important. We are no longer required to venture into the wilderness to seek our daily meals. It is no longer necessary for modern man to maintain an intimate connection with the environment. We select our dinners from the grocery store shelves and freezers. For many of us the idea of hunting and killing an animal or instinctually knowing when the proper time to plant a crop seems to be a foreign concept. We have distanced ourselves from the need to rely on intuitive sensing as a mechanism of survival.

Modernization of society has resulted in a reduced capacity to think intuitively. While intuitive senses will always remain an integral part of human perception, as we become less connected with the environment, the intuitive thinking process is neglected and unused. The trend toward diminishing intuitive senses carries consequences beyond simply neglecting a natural skill. Other aspects of our growth as a society are affected as well. Creativity suffers as a result of the over-dependency on the industrial complex to provide our daily needs. The connection to the environment, the intimate knowledge of natural cycles and rhythms, the appreciation of all things living and our responsibility and roles as higher forms of life to care for the planet and its creatures is lost without the bridge to higher consciousness provided by the intuitive mind.

The trend toward distancing ourselves from natural intuitive thinking processes is relatively simple to reverse. It is possible to retrain the intuitive mind, to strengthen the intuitive senses with simple exercises. Exercises which heighten awareness, increase sensing abilities and tap into psychic perception methods result in a dramatic increase in psychic skills.

Perhaps one of the easiest steps to take in reconnecting to your intuitive senses is to simply spend time listening to nature. Take a walk in the woods or a stroll along the beach, anyplace where you can just get away from it all. Spend a few minutes simply listening to the world. Close your eyes and try to hear as many different sounds as possible. Try to focus your hearing from one sound to the next. What is the most distant sound that you can hear? Which sound is the closest? How many separate sounds can you focus on? Just listen for awhile. Relax and listen.

The intuitive mind activates itself while you are in this simple listening state. Listen to the world and the intuitive senses will trigger automatically. Repeat this routine anytime that you may feel disconnected from your intuitive senses. Simply stop, enjoy a natural setting and listen to your surroundings. You may be pleasantly surprised to learn just how simple it can be to reconnect to your intuitive mind. Of course there are advanced methods available to strengthen your intuitive senses. The important thing to remember is that, even in this modern world, your intuitive mind is always ready and available to offer insight and guidance.

Princeton University defines meditation as “continuous and profound contemplation or musing on a subject or series of subjects of a deep or abstruse nature; the habit of meditation is the basis for all real knowledge.”

It’s all about calming the mind to allow for greater inner perspective.

The problem with meditation is that most people think of it as “sitting on a rock and humming OM for an hour.”

In fact, meditation can be dynamic, moving, energetic and calming, all at the same time.

Here are 4 examples of excellent meditative exercises

1. Take a walk of about 1 to 2 miles. Go by yourself and don’t think about the walk or your day- to-day activities. Instead:

* Notice your surroundings

* Think about how you feel as you walk. What is your body doing? How does that affect you?

* Focus on how you are breathing. Is it smooth or kind of jerky and irregular? What happens if you breathe really deeply while you’re walking?

* Take a moment to appreciate anything beautiful you pass by. What do you see? How does that make you feel?

You are now meditating. You are calm, focusing on things you have never noticed before and appreciating the moment.

Please note the words “appreciating the moment.” It means living right NOW and not in a past that already happened or a future that is yet to come. This is your goal when meditating.

2. Go play a round of golf. My personal favorite mediation exercise is golf. Oddly enough, golf is one of the best exercises you can do to expand and develop your creative mind potential.

Just learn to think differently. Instead of worrying about how you’re going to play, notice your surroundings instead.

Look at everything as if you were going to paint or photograph it. See the details of highlight and shadows. Notice the beauty of the garden you’re playing in. Bend down and notice a single blade of grass; realizing that it is life in and of itself.

Don’t think about your swing. Just step up, relaxed, not worried about how you look and let it all go. Anytime the rational mind is out of the picture and feelings replace them you will hit much better shots.

Between shots, don’t think about the shot that was or that shot that is coming. Spend time between shots enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Really notice the beauty that is all around you.
Realize that the next time you step up to the ball, the potential exists for something exceptional to occur.

Before, during and after the round don’t tell yourself stories about how, why, what you are doing or wish you did.

Just enjoy every moment. Remember, every hole (just like every day in your life) holds the potential of a fresh new start.

3. Go out and take a few pictures. Noticing beautiful things all around you is also an excellent meditation. Go outside, somewhere you consider beautiful and bring your camera. Any kind of camera will do.

Don’t think about anything except your surroundings. Breathe the air; notice how you feel in the beautiful outdoors. When you see something (anything) that catches your attention, go over to it for a closer look.

Notice how light and shadows interplay. Focus on what you notice when you look at an object. Take a photo of what you actually see, not the entire scene.

Again, noticing what is REALLY happening around you right NOW is the key to successful meditation.

4. Begin your day by looking at your true goals in life. Write them down and read then aloud. Take 2 or 3 minutes to understand what achieving this goal will feel like to you.

Then write down ACTION steps you can accomplish today, which will take you one step closer to that goal.

Get used to experiencing NOW. As you get used to this idea, before starting your meditative activity, think about a challenge you want to solve or a new idea you want to create.

Write down what you want to gain perspective on, contemplate it for a moment, then set it aside and start the activity. Follow the steps outlined above.

As you notice your experience of RIGHT NOW, the answer to solve challenges or new inspiration will surface, seemingly out of nowhere.

The quiet, relaxed mind, focusing on right NOW inspires you to new heights in creative thinking.

New heights in creative thinking lead to exceptional ideas coming to the forefront; giving you a distinct competitive edge in both business and life.

Take This ACTION Step

1. Go for a walk. Follow the advice in example 1.

2. Play golf. with focus and purpose instead of apprehension of impending doom. Follow the advice in example 2.

3. Take photographs in a beautiful place. Notice your surroundings. Open your awareness and then bring that back to your daily life in business. Paying attention to every moment, not worrying about a past or future is meditation at it’s finest. See article 3 for ideas.

4. Begin your day looking at your true goals and passions in life. What can you do today to move one small step closer to them?

Relaxing, opening your awareness to right NOW and focusing are the core principals of meditation. When that relaxed state of mind focuses on the talent and value you provide to other people amazing new ideas arise.

You can be the creator of your own manifest destiny. Through daily meditation practice and focus on changing your life for the better. In fact, you have the ability to redefine yourself in any direction you desire. The power that you can cultivate is limited only by your own imagination.

As I have mentioned earlier, this will change the lives of people who you come into frequent contact with. Therefore, you must always be kind, trustworthy, and considerate to others. You should make a change in that direction at this very moment.

Why the sudden need for character improvement? It goes hand-in-hand with using power and influence wisely. Remember Lord Acton’s saying: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” The power of your mind has the ability to alter reality. Therefore, this is a power that must be controlled.

How is this possible? Here is an example: If you had two identical twin boys, who haven’t eaten for two days, and you put an apple in front of them; what would they do?

Most likely, they would fight over it, and the winner would eat, most or, all of it. You and I know they should divide it equally, but each of them has really felt starvation, and that is a reality you and I do not feel at the moment. So we are not talking about imagination, but three legitimate points of view, that each becomes our own reality.

Meditation will allow your mind to see multiple points of view, without judgment. If you can see only one point of view, you haven’t meditated long enough. The best leaders, negotiators, and diplomats, know that you have to understand the opposing viewpoint, to move forward, on any issue. There is always justification, on both sides, in any conflict, but true compromise is meeting the opposition in a different reality, than you both started from.

If you had the ability to travel in the space shuttle, your view of earth, from within your space vehicle, would be much different from the person living in poverty, within a refugee camp. You could not see, or feel, that person’s pain, and each of you would have a vivid picture of life on earth.

You can meditate from a mountain top, but once you have seen the full picture, you have an obligation to help mankind, with acts of kindness. Once you have discovered how easy it is to help others, you are no longer struggling with; “who is right and who is wrong.”

Your new reality becomes, “how can I help?”

I am sure we have all asked at one time or another, “What is the purpose of life?” Or perhaps this variation: “Why am I here?”

It seems like such a profound question: Great philosophers have been asked that question. Great thinkers and scientists have been asked. Great spiritual and religious leaders have been asked, too.

One would think that the answer is so profound and unknowable, even the greatest minds of all time could not provide the ultimate answer. But I humbly say to you, I have the answer. And it is quite knowable to all of us.

The purpose of life is (drum roll please) TO EXPRESS.

To express what? To express as much of God as you can. To express as much Life, Love, Light, Power, Peace, Beauty and Joy as you can.

If you are familiar with Judge Thomas Troward, a pioneer in the New Thought Movement, you will know that he describes the qualities of God as: Life, Love, Light, Power, Peace, Beauty and Joy. Since God is First Cause or Universal Creativity, It creates. What does It create? It creates Itself. What is Itself? Life, Love, Light, Power, Peace, Beauty and Joy.

We are expressions of God, which means we are all Life, Love, Light, Power, Peace, Beauty and Joy in various levels of expression. Our purpose is to express greater and ever greater levels of these qualities, all for the purpose of God’s ever-increasing Enjoyment of Life.

From “The Creative Process in the Individual” by Thomas Troward: “We found two principles as essential in our conception of the Originating Spirit, namely, its power of Selection and its power of Initiative; and we found a third principle as its only possible Motive, namely the Desire of the Living for ever increasing Enjoyment of Life.”

Spirit creates for the sole purpose of expressing Itself. We are created in the image and likeness of Spirit; therefore our purpose is to express ourselves. Our highest selves. Our God-like selves. Which is Life, Love, Light Power, Peace, Beauty, and Joy.

We can think of the seven qualities of God listed above as they relate to us as individualized centers of Spirit this way: Life is the Energy of Good. Love is the Givingness of Good. Light is the Knowledge of Good. Power is the Movement of Good. Peace is the Acceptance of Good. Beauty is the Expression of Good. Joy is the Experience of Good. (– courtesy of Rev. Harriet Smolka of the Oak Park (IL) Church of Religious Science.)

We can all express more of the givingness, the knowledge, the acceptance, and the experience of Good in our lives.

Again, from Troward: “We have seen that the Spirit’s Enjoyment of Life is necessarily a reciprocal — it must have a corresponding fact in manifestation to answer to it; otherwise, by the inherent law of mind, no consciousness — and consequently no enjoyment — could accrue; and therefore by the law of continuous progression, the required Reciprocal should manifest as a being [my emphasis] awakening to the consciousness of the principle by which he himself comes into existence.”

WE are that BEING to which Troward refers. We have been created to be the reciprocal that Spirit needs to consciously recognize and know Itself as Itself, which, again, is Life, Love, Light, Power, Peace, Beauty and Joy.

So what does that mean in our day-to-day living? Couldn’t we all express Peace a little more? Perhaps by saying a kind word to a stranger, perhaps by resisting an argument with a loved one, perhaps by letting some indiscretion by another driver on the highway, go without incident. Couldn’t we all express a little more Love? By expressing your feelings for another person without expectation of a like-wise response. By giving of yourself by volunteering just because you can. Couldn’t we all express a little more Wisdom and Understanding (Light)? Such as knowing when someone is lashing out not at you, but because of their own fears or sense of powerlessness.

This is how we express more of God. This is why you are here. You are here to express your unique spiritual self. Spirit would not be complete without you.
