O_o Like hospital thingy or security thingy? Mostly for medical uses. Like podiatrists, they use it to have a look at the forces in different zones of their patients feet. But also for shoe stores to provide quick insight into getting the right running shoes. We even do 3d printing of insoles based on the measurements we make.
