Karry 55 Report post Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) Hero Point Train Guide~Sup! If you want to learn a route for a HP train through the HoT maps, you've come to the right place! Remember, though, that this is only one way of many, many more!General stuff to think about!: - The most important thing to remember is that you always should start out with Verdant Brink. This is the map that everyone will have decently easy access to. The place where I start, is the Shipwreck Peak Waypoint [&BN4HAAA=]. The best time to start out in VB is 20ish minutes before the choppers appear. Make sure you do the Vampire HP last, or basically before the choppers dissappear. Alot of people will ask for this one. There might be more mobs during the night, but the canopies will make it easier to access for example the Vampire hero point. - Each map takes approximitely fourtyfive minutes to one hour. I encourage you to grab a quick 5-10 minute break in between the maps. - Not everyone has high mastery rank. You need to provide with the information about the next Hero Point - what does it requiere of you to get there? (Portals are insanely great tool. Sometimes even necessary. If you have a mesmer, command on one!) - Make sure you time the start of the HP run/train well timed with the meta events. You'll want to be done with VB before the AB octovine starts. Otherwise you'll most likely have to help out a lane.Verdant BrinkThis map have the easiest to-get-to Hero Points. Killing them shouldn't be a problem at all, especially with a large group. The only downside is that I couldn't find a good route where you don't use the Waypoints way too often. Good thing is to start out 20ish minutes before the choppers appear aswell. Here's the "Karry-Route":1. Dark Blue Route - Make sure you start out with Creeping Crevasse HP and do the Vampire Hero Point LAST (after all the routes, or before the canopies are gonna dissapear). * Vampire HP is a strong monster that heals off of people that are downed. Make sure you stay alive. (Grab the Canopy and then glide over to the Hero Point!) * Creeping Crevasse HP is very far down. Make sure you tell people to stop on the branches to let them "refresh" the glider. There's also a strongbox on the way down.2. Light Blue Route - Make sure you glide as much as possible. There are annoying mordrem mobs on the way. The first HP on this route, is the wyvern one. Make sure your squad clears the hill from all the mobs - they can interrupt you while you're communing. The second HP on this route requieres you to get to the small bridge and then jump down to the left. You need to open your glider when the Hero Point gets visible. It's pretty far down. * Although you can use bouncing mushrooms at the first HP, they are not needed to get to the Hero Point. * Make sure you don't open your glider on the updraft!3. Blue Route - Basic route to the Waypoint! This is a pretty important Waypoint to get!4. Yellow Route - The closest Hero Point on this route is very similiar to the last one on Light Blue Route. You need to jump down from the vines, free fall pretty far down and then open your glider again at the correct time. The second Hero Point takes a little longer to get to. It requieres bouncing shroom. Portals may be needed. * The second waypoint requieres the bouncing mushroom mastery. Make sure you have a portal to help people up. 5. Green Route - Another route purely to get a Waypoint that will be used later on. The second part is another free-fall hero point. It's not as far down, though. * Requieres a bouncing mushroom. Portals will be needed in case people don't have the mastery.6. Red Route - This path can be annoying due to the mobs being there. The quickest way to get through this place is to use updrafts and bouncing mushrooms. Portal people from the bridge up to the "mountain". You'll later on have to run up to the top. You can use the bouncing mushrooms if you want. * Bouncing mushrooms (for the second part) and updraft needed. Portals are the way to go! 7. Pink Route - Three hero points to do! Almost done, phew! The first Hero point I do is the one where you follow the path up from the waypoint itself, very shortly jump to the right on the vines and make my way to where the Mastery Point is. You need to glide over to the Hero Point "room" though. The second Waypoint is, once agaaaain, a free-fall. You need to find the open spot in the "tree". You need to land ON the hero point, otherwise you'll die. The third Hero Point requieres you to get to the highest point of the "Noble Ledges", later on jump on the huge vine, run for a while and then glide over to the Golem hero point. * Some gliding is requiered. ~8. Black Route - Make sure you grab the last waypoint first, before you attempt the Hero Point. This mob can down and kill you very quickly. This waypoint can get you back into the battle just as fast.Auric BasinThis is a route I've finalized, although it most likely can be better. Always experiment! Remember that AB requieres ley-line gliding to be quick with the run. Portals would be lovely for the ley-line parts, of course! Another "Karry-route": 1. Dark Blue Route - Simple Route, although pretty long! First hero point is pretty far down (yes, again). After you've killed the mushroom, you go ahead to the next Hero Point. Grab the thingie, use skill 6 and then heal for the first time after 4 ticks. After that, just spam skill 6 for heals. No other heals work. After this, take the pathway further into the cave, then just follow the route and jump over the rocks and get the Westwatch Waypoint. After that, make your way to the Northwatch Waypoint and then straight to the next Hero Point! When that one is dead, you follow the path and grab the Eastwatch Waypoint. From there you can either go for the Blue Route Hero Point or just keep following the Dark Blue route. Grab the Forgotten City Waypoint and then jump down to the Hero Point.2. Light Blue Route - Pretty easy. Go back to the Northwatch Waypoint and get to the very ledge before the jump. To be on the safe side, you can use a portal to get people over to the Hero Point.3. Blue Route - This is where I waypoint to Eastwatch Waypoint and then go south from there to get to the Hero Point. There's also a Tengu HP north of here. Scales very badly. * Bouncing mushrooms requiered. Portals will be needed in case people don't have the mushroom mastery.4. Yellow Route - Make sure you grab the Southwatch Waypoint since it will be needed later on, and then make your way down to the Chak Hollow Waypoint (grab that aswell) and then of course the Hero Point. * This hero point is insanely strong. Any healing, protection and aegis would be lovely!5. Green Route - Go back to Westwatch waypoint and later on follow the path south from it. You will eventually get to a set of mossy stairs which you need to get on and then use the bouncing mushrooms to get up. Follow the path and then turn to the second avaiable left untill you come to the ley-line. * Bouncing shrooms, ley-line gliding and portals are needed. There is a way to get to the other side without the ley-line, but that is way harder.6. Red Route - Follow the path to the Balthazar Hero Point. Make sure you explain how it works. You need to get up when it reaches 25% health!!7. Pink Route - This one requieres nuhoch wallows. You enter the one which is marked with a pink circle on the map. From where you spawn, you need to turn around and go to the ley-line bridge. This is where you portal people up. For those who can't use wallows, you need to direct them to the place just beneath the bridge itself (to portal them up). If someone is with you, ask them to escort people to that spot from the Northwatch Waypoint. If you don't have anyone, do that first. Tell them to stay under the bridge and that you will portal people up very shortly. <3Tangled DepthsComing soon! ;D Edited October 20, 2016 by Karry 1 Share this post Link to post
