GW2 League

  • About the GW2 League

    • The GW2 League is a project aimed at creating a neutral Teamspeak and calendar platform for guilds and other associations of GW2 players, where rather than being dictated by a central leader, events are organised by the individual groups within the league, creating an easy go-to stop for event organisers and those looking to join events, creating an easy to use Teamspeak where there's always something going on!

For the time being, during its early stages, the project is being hosted by OpenCommunity on our website and Teamspeak, in a separate, autonomous area. If enough interest is gathered for this platform, it will be split onto its own, fully independent server, and will be completely independent from OC management, functioning as a completely separate entity.

  • League Features

    Teamspeak

Each guild, alliance, or other type of group in the GW2 League receives their own Teamspeak area on the server, which they have full control over. They can create open, passworded, and private channels, moderate users, and even channel ban people from their area.

Each group also receives a member tag, which is server-wide, and each group's Admins and Moderators will be able to assign these tags to any member, so your members will be quickly recognizable at a glance. These member tags will also allow you to create private channels into which guests are unable to see and/or enter.

    Website

On the website, each group has its own Hangout, which is a highly editable and customisable area where the group's members can post. Hangouts are also completely autonomous, so Leaders can fully customise their hangout, and can create anything from discussion boards, galleries, blogs, calendars, as well as a shiny front page. Hangout managers have the ability to delete, move, or otherwise moderate content, ban members from the hangout, and more.

Hangout calendars can also be synced to external calendar feeds such as from Google Calendars on request.

The website also features a general calendar, where members can see events from all hangouts they are members of, making it easy to see the events of all groups you are following.

Teamspeak

We have an open Teamspeak, which can be freely used by guests in need of a practical voice communication solution.
