untilCome celebrate St. Patrick's Day with us by dressing up in green and joining the party! It's been years since we've done one, so we felt it was time for a Tipsy Triple Trouble! What does this mean? The commanders will be given a list of banned words - such as dodge, stack, might, as well as wurm-specific ones like kegs, colors, abomination, and also a few words nominated by you tailored specifically for each commander! They must do full dry runs and command the events successfully without using any of the banned words! If they slip up, or accidentally swear (which is breaking the community guidelines ), their punishment is to drink! You can play along if you are of legal drinking age! The goal is to still succeed in the event and have a lot of fun doing it! Please drink responsibly, have lots of water after the evening, and don't drink if you have to drive somewhere! The Three-Headed Great Jungle Wurm terrorizes the jungle! But we're ready to terrorize it back! The Vigil Crusaders are ready and waiting for the armies of Tyrian heroes to march into the Wurm's domain and slay the giant creature. The Triple Trouble event is a fast-paced, high-intensity event where three teams must coordinate their efforts to slay the three heads of the Wurm at the same time. Due to the large number of split-second decisions, TeamSpeak is required. No experience with the event is required, all tactics & mechanics are explained beforehand.

untilOne of the ways in which we can help Gamers Giving Back is that we can do some quick guild missions to help [GGB] grow! We will be doing PvE guild missions, which this week include a Medium Trek, a Hard Puzzle and a Hard Bounty. Since [GGB] does not have all of its missions unlocked, it will only be those three! Recommended: A level 80 character with map completion

One of the main causes for the crowding is that the first 3 sets basically came out within 6 months of each other, meaning we suddenly had a lot of tags. Now we're aiming for a cadence of about 12-24 months per set, so it should get crowded more slowly ^^ If we receive complaints about TS looking crowded, we might go with a maximum number of badges displayed per person (like our rule of maximum 3 community guilds displayed per person, which exists for this exact reason). This is something we have been looking into and could potentially even create a bot that is permanently available for members to poke to switch their badges, so members can switch between their displayed badges without needing to contact a Community Manager. As a side note, new forum badges for charity causes will also be changing to the same system we use for Golden Cookies (old badges will remain as is), so that should take up less room on the forums .

Hey everyone! This is not an update or a change of how things function, and we already once made a post about this when it was originally announced in 2016, but I wanted to post a little refresher with this information, which we're hoping to put on its own page soon ^^ What are Supporter Rewards? Supporter Rewards are our way of thanking people who support the community by donating to keep our Teamspeak, website and game servers running, as well as those who donate towards sponsored charity causes. These rewards range from supporter icons on our Teamspeak, badges on the forums and cosmetic groups on Discord and Minecraft, to custom artwork and even physical items. Some of the latter might be limited by number, as our artists are volunteers and can only commit to drawing a limited amount of artwork, and our physical item numbers can be limited. You can see the current supporter rewards on our donate page. Earning progress towards Supporter Rewards Supporter rewards appear in sets, each set consisting of several tiers of rewards. Only one set is active at a time, and once a set is changed, the old set will not be available again, meaning rewards earned during that time will be unique! Let's take a look at the currently active Radiant Set: Any Amount - Supporter (also available in future set) 15€ - Shiny Supporter (also available in future set) 30€ - Lucent Supporter 70€ - Radiant Supporter 120€ - Ascendant Supporter Your progress in any given set is saved and added up over time, which means donating small amounts over time can bring you to higher reward tiers. This includes any donations made to sponsored charity causes. When a set changes, your progress in the old set is locked, and your progress in the new set begins from zero. Additionally, the first two tiers - Supporter and Shiny Supporter - are included in the next set as well, so your progress up to and including those two tiers is transferred to the next set. The reason for this is so that even those who can only donate a very small amount can eventually get to a higher tier which gives more rewards. How do I know when a set will change? We have made a promise to announce the change of a set at least 1 month in advance, and we do not intend to change sets twice in the same year. As an example, the current set has been active since July 2016, meaning it's going on its 20th month at the time of writing. We can already reveal you can expect a change of sets in the first half of 2018! The announcement will be made on the forum, on the donate page, on our discord, and mentioned by commanders at our events.

untilAfter their sabotage-induced crash, the Zephyrites are stuck in Dry Top and looking for aid. We must help them recover and hold their ground against the perils of the desert. Dry Top features a map-wide meta event with tons of smaller events which must all be completed in order to get the highest reward tier, meaning the merchants on the map will offer better items at lower prices. The event is a map-wide meta-event, for which everyone on the map must pitch in in order to ensure maximum success. All of the event mechanics will be explained by the commander during the event, so you do not need any prior knowledge before joining. You don’t need to be in the map prior to the event - the commander will explain how we get everyone onto the same map. Event Requirements: A level 80 character Dry Top map reached (first-time players joining on time will also have the time to travel to Dry Top without having discovered it before) Guide:

untilJoin us as we venture out into an unexplored land, to fight old enemies with new, interesting allies by our side. What threats and treasures lie in the Sandswept Isles? With the recent Living World update came a brand new map - the Sandswept Isles! As is tradition by now (it's happened more than once so we can now call it tradition), we'll be getting to know it in a one-time unique event - the Sandswept Isles Expedition! We'll be starting the event at the Atholma Waypoint, and from there, we'll be running a trail around the map, exploring as we go - doing some bounties, completing events, visiting locations of note, helping players get to difficult to reach places, pointing out interesting tidbits and possibly even getting some achievements! The event is suitable for both players who will have already explored the map on their own, and those who have never set foot in it before and would like to get to know it with a fun group experience! Event Requirements: Path of Fire Basic Mounts (Raptor, Springer and Skimmer) Atholma Waypoint in Sandswept Isles Getting There: Completing the first string of missions in the new story Episode (takes ~1 hour) Alternatively, you can use a Teleport to Friend to join us without having to play the story If you have already obtained one, you can also use the Sandswept Isles Portal Scroll on an alt character to join the map without completing the story mission. Note that this is not intended to be a 100% exploration run or a farm grind, but rather a relaxed foray into the map. It's a great way to get an impression of a map, and make some fun memories while doing it! As part of the run, we will show players around some important locations in the area, complete events, and point out some fun or interesting areas and achievements. We will be bringing fully mounted mesmers to help players get to difficult locations, and if any attendees wish to bring a mesmer themselves, that's welcome too! NOTE: Story spoilers will be kept to a minimum, but some elements of the first chapter may be spoiled by the NPCs on the map itself!
