MORE MARS BAR!
-
untilNote: This event is held mainly in Guild Wars 2! The day of OpenCommunity's first birthday is fast approaching, and celebrations are definitely in order! In conjunction with our birthday, we are also celebrating OpenCommunity's first charity fundraising month. Throughout the entirety of April, culminating on the Community Weekend, we are giving out 50% of all donations OpenCommunity receives to The Cybersmile Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting cyberbullying and making the internet a better, safer place for everyone! So what is the Community Weekend? The Community Weekend celebration is a two-day event packed extravaganza of crazy, fun events, challenges, competitions, and some good old fashioned world boss slaying! All regularly scheduled events are off for the two days, and are instead replaced with Quaggan Hunts, Hide & Seek, Fashion Wars, and more! When does it happen? The event happens on the 16th and 17th of April, Saturday & Sunday! We start at 13:00 CEST with a Tequatl & Triple Trouble sandwich, and continue from there! You can join us at any time during the day, hop onto our TeamSpeak (ts.theopencommunity.org) and join in with the fun! The even is held on our TeamSpeak, with individual events sometimes being led in-game in Guild Wars 2 (EU) or out of game. What kind of events are there? Are there any requirements to join? Will there be prizes? There are all kinds of events happening (see full schedule below). We do our best to serve a mixed bag of all sorts of events, so that everyone gets to participate in something fun! We plan out the events so that they require minimal amounts of world exploration, setting locations in Lion's Arch or racial capitals, or areas adjacent to those! Coming on a level 80 character is recommended, but for most events it is not required! And yes! There will be prizes! Lots and lots of shiny prizes! Additionally, we have a few events this time around which don't happen in Guild Wars 2 - either in another game or on TeamSpeak itself. Are there any forum-based events as well? Yes! We are going to hold a screenshot competition throughout the entire weekend! Best screenshot taken at any of the weekend events wins! Before the events start, we'll open a thread where people can share their screenshots! The contest will close on the 22nd, five days after the Community Weekend, so that everyone has time to go through their screenshots and find the best one! Soon after, the winner will be announced! So what's the event schedule? Here is the full event schedule. More information on individual events can be found below. (Times are in CEST [UTC+2]) Saturday (16th of April) 13:00 - Gathering starts 13:15 - Tequatl the Sunless 14:00 - Triple Trouble 15:15 - Hide and Seek 17:00 - Protect the Quaggans! 18:00 - Belcher's Bluff Contest 18:00 - Challengenauts! For those who are interested, Felicia & Ryon Day played Monaco recently. It's a nice preview of what the game is like, accompanied with fun sibling banter.

UPDATE: We've set up an anonymous feedback page ^^ http://www.theopencommunity.org/feedback/ We will continue to improve it, but that's there for now
-
Hey folks ^^ One of the things that's really helped me run DV, things like keeping track of certain things, or mailing everyone, etc., or even hand over control to someone else temporarily without anything being lost or forgotten. I've made a simplified version of it for anyone to use - just create a copy of it ^^ There are extra lines which provide info & you can delete them: Spreadsheet (GW2)

untilTeamSpeak: Required Coordinator: Lelling The Three-Headed Great Jungle Wurm terrorizes the jungle! But we're ready to terrorize it back! The Vigil Crusaders are ready and waiting for the armies of Tyrian heroes to march into the Wurm's domain and slay the giant creature. The Triple Trouble event is a fast-paced, high-intensity event where three teams must coordinate their efforts to slay the three heads of the Wurm at the same time. Due to the large number of split-second decisions, TeamSpeak is required. No experience with the event is required, all tactics & mechanics are explained beforehand

Well, not for everyone, but as many as we can give out! The guest access pass is a 7-day trial pass for the game, so that anyone who's interested can try it. Otherwise, the game uses a buy-to-play model, meaning it's a one-time purchase with no subscription! If anyone would like to try the game for free, reply here and we'll PM you a guest pass! Lelling: Guest Pass 1 Guest Pass 2 AoiHex: Guest Pass Dav: Guest Pass 1 Guest Pass 2 If you also have a guest pass you'd like to give out for free, just reply to this thread and I'll add you on the list! If you do decide to buy Black Desert due to receiving a guest pass from here, please consider giving your guest pass to someone else who needs it ^^

Hello everyone! We've got exciting stuff happening in the next few months of OpenCommunity, and with that, we are going to be closing our IndieGogo Campaign in the next few days! The Champion & Legendary Supporter perks will no longer be available after this, and the jury is still out on Shiny Supporter (we just like that title so much :P). After the campaign closes we will also set up the Founder page listing all the supporters that donated to the campaign. And if you're worried you'll miss out - there will be more shiny perks, and definitely other shinies going forward - more about that in the next few days! ~Lelling

This is another of my friends' characters that I drew for him ^^ Erinai the pirate queen :3 And I think that's the most recent drawing of mine that's online I did some quick colouring in in Photoshop just for fun, and I liked the way it turned out. Now it usually seems to be months between me drawing anything so I might add more older stuff like I did earlier ^^

It snowed ALL day yesterday, quite intensely, but literally not an inch of snow layer had actually formed. It was so weird http://i.imgur.com/GG2emVM.gif

This baby doesn't have a care in the world ^ not helping with the ol' mouse there He also loves his new radiator bed

What better thing to be proud of than these: (particularly the Mini ones ^^)

@Flu Omg That resemblance is uncanny @Susimusta I just really like elongated faces with sharp features I think drawing rounder features is a bit more difficult because you have to get the shading right. That's one of the reasons I only draw tall humanoids, and never stuff like dwarves or asura. They SCARE me But I really should practice those more Also, here's some other drawings from my facebook - here is my wandslinger witch from Path of Exile I didn't really succeed in any kind of resemblance to the in-game model, but y'know, maybe my witch has a bit more cheekbone. *shrug* Also an unfinished WIP, I dunno if I'll ever finish it so I'm just posting it as-is

@Daus WHOA that looks so cool @Wintersreach Ral Zarek is my bae. I'm still buying Dragon Maze booster displays to this day Also your wallpapers remind me of Shadowrun @Tawni Aaaaa dem games! How is Thea: The Awakening? I have it on my wishlist but I haven't bought it yet (waiting for the next sale pretty much ) Oh also, I found this the other day, which is my desktop cca 2009 I think Took me WAAAAY back
-
This used to be one of my favorite threads in my WoW community, so I decided to bring it back! I always loved seeing the different ways people style & organize their desktops! A desktop screenshot says a lot about a person - Mine, unfortunately, says "I have Steam so I don't need shortcuts anymore" I dump stuff like images or temporary text files on the desktop sometimes, but they were work related so I had to clean them up before posting! I cropped out my second screen on the left, because it's literally just another massive picture of Ral Zarek

Hi, I'm looking for some gaming buddies
Lelling replied to GhostBurgers's topic in Introduce Yourself
Cool! I saw the post, that's spirit I'll be posting around international forums a little bit as well, both US & EU, to see if there's any interest. If you think anything's missing that could make US players feel more welcome / more likely to look into playing with us let me know ^^ Oh, and if you happen to find a clan/guild you'd like to drag over here, we can create a TeamSpeak channel for it, with moderation rights for the leader / officers and all that fancy stuff! I've seen quite a few US flags on our TS recently, too, and I'll be sure to poke them next time I see them. If only @Sourunji was not a traitor to his OWN MOTHERLAND
