Hey folks ^^ I draw stuff sometimes, mainly isolated characters against a white background - either concepts or occasionally fanart or friends' characters ^^ I'll just be dumping them all here - feel free to give me art feedback ^^ I mainly draw in pencil & sometimes do photoshop edits because WHY not :3 I've got TONS to share and I always love a progression post - seeing how certain things improve over the years, but I thought first, I'll just share some recent stuff: I say recent, I think I drew this in 2012 I think My friend Pippin's character Anedill Rilynn'thal (a Night Elf from World of Warcraft) - this was probably my favorite thing to edit, I really like how it turned out, as the photoshop edit doesn't take away from the authenticity of the central drawing, but instead emphasizes it. Also gratuitous half-naked man - he's actually a character / archetype concept and I'm pretty sure I've been drawing him in different incarnations for like 9 years now (1 - oldest version I could find without having to scan stuff again, 2, 3, 4). He and his female counterpart are like a recurring theme I'll post more soon ^^ I need to resize some of them so they're not massive EDIT: I could not resist - here's some of my older stuff:

Hi, I'm looking for some gaming buddies
Lelling replied to GhostBurgers's topic in Introduce Yourself
Hello ^^ Welcome, you're probably one of our first Black Desert-based newcomers! So yaaaay! If you're on US servers, I'd probably recommend making a post in our Black Desert forums like "Hey, US players!" ^^ I think most of our existing users from Guild Wars 2 are from EU, so it'll take a bit for more US players to notice us (we just need to poke them more ) And don't be scared to drag any of your friends / friendly peeps you meet in-game onto the TeamSpeak at ts.theopencommunity.org You can find the Black Desert channels under "LET'S GAME" (just minimize all the Guild Wars 2 channels and it should be right there under them) -
OrderOfCalpheon has been made, everyone! YAY!

There is no community ruling for this - If you want to recreate your guild there go ahead ^^ Personally I think it makes more sense that everyone from here sticks together Right now we seem to have two guilds forming - CatsPaw (Cat's Paw Trading Company) which is more of a casual, roleplaying type situation, and the other one, which is still forming (and still needs a name), and that'll be more focused on stuff that you could say is similar to what we're doing with GW2 - endgame stuff, focused events, etc. If you wanna make your own guild that's cool too ^^

Hey everyone ^^ So a lot of people have been wondering how we're going to go about Black Desert, whether we've picked a server, etc. etc. - here's the rundown: We are going into Black Desert with all options open - accepting & inviting everyone who wishes to do stuff in this community, so what will happen in the end we will most likely have people & guilds from different servers. However, those of us that are starting from here can all start on the same server (we've chosen Jordine). Moving forward, depending on how popular Black Desert is in the community, and how popular the community is in Black Desert, we will create an interactive guild page, listing all the guilds that sign up with us (like we have for Guild Wars 2) For now, we are creating two guilds for people to join on Jordine: Cat's Paw Trading Company <CatsPaw> - Intended for more casual players, who like to explore, trade, or just generally bumble around the game with a bit of emphasis on the roleplaying aspects of the game. <OrderOfCalpheon> - A guild that still has a social atmosphere, but still focuses on end-game content, both PvP and PvE. Until we set up a page, this thread will also serve as a list of guilds, so if you have your own guild you'd like to list here, just make a post about it and it will be added to the list ^^ Server: JORDINE <CatsPaw> - (Casual, RP, Trading) <OrderOfCalpheon> - (PvX, End-Game Focus)

Hey guys! Sorry there hasn't been an update for AGES! But I've been super busy & I need to resize & crop the images every time So it's been a long month and Mars Bar sure has grown So this is an overview of February - Month 4! - this is going to be a lot of pictures so get ready for CAT! Here he is helping me create a character in Black Desert: He's just been growing longer & longer, but not putting on any weight He also likes to sleep on my face sometimes! OH we've also discovered another place he likes to sleep in He also enjoys tunnels mate out of boxes (runs into them Maru-style, but unfortunately I didn't manage to get any footage of that ^^) Here's him at the beginning of the month (unsuspecting of his impending doom) And this is him 3 weeks after the picture above, as you can see he's starting to fill out He likes to sleep like this as well I don't know what the heck that pose is meant to be but he seems to like it He also is starting to have more and more encounters with Micka, our older cat (they're not related) She's not a fan . She's an outdoor cat so she doesn't understand his lazy lifestyle BUT in truth - he's not lazy at all! Here he is helping me out with some project stuff (I had to blur one of the screens cause it contained secrets) AND that's all folks! We'll have more updates up soon, we'll quite probably have our first trip to the vet soon, which is bound to be an adventure ^^ Oh, and here's an extra gif of Micka trying to catch a fake mouse

After the end of LARPs, The Guild, and Titansgrave, I needed more Geek&Sundry shows. I NEEDED them. So on their twitch, I found Critical Role - and it's the best show I've ever watched. Do you like fun? Do you like tabletop games? Do you like voice actors? THEN WHY are you not watching Critical Role? So here's what CritRole is - it's a D&D game that a couple of voice actors have been playing for 2 years before the show started. They streamed it as an experiment on the Geek&Sundry twitch and it's become their most successful show! If you're not that much into Pen & Paper games and you'd like to see how that all works out I would suggest watching Titansgrave (linked above) first, it comes with a more directed script, action edits & regular-length episodes Critical Role is hours upon hours of unedited fun (and sometimes confusion ). The voice actors should be familiar to most of us, if not by name, then by voice, as they include a lot of Guild Wars 2 voices, Blizzard game voices, various anime, as well as notably the voice of Ellie in The Last of Us. I just learned today that Episode 1 has reached a million views. A note about the show - as it progresses, the G&S twitch network becomes substantially larger, their equipment improves, and the quality of the sound improves a TON. So I would suggest everyone to WATCH THIS SHOW right MEOW. So where can I watch the show? http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry on the Geek&Sundry twitch on Thursdays at 7 PM PST (Fridays 4 AM CET) On the G&S Youtube channel (<- playlist of all episodes), onto which episodes get uploaded every Monday Recently, the show has gotten so much attention they did a short one-off episode with Vin Diesel (who is also a D&D fan), called D&Diesel, which is absolutely delightful to watch . If you would like to see a short 4-minute clip of the kind of stuff that happens in CritRole: Or more recently There is drama There is combat There's a triceratops battle at some point And there's a Geralt costume for halloween because why not WATCH THIS SHOW!

To start, I was going to talk about Disciples but we seem to have people here who know about it ^^ So instead I'm going to talk about another gem from my childhood - Lords of Magic! I think it was a relatively well-known game for its time, but the bugs at release probably buried it a little bit. Developed by Impressions Games (Caesar, Pharaoh) and published by Sierra Entertainment (released in 1997), the gameplay resembles Age of Wonders, or other turn-based strategies with RPG elements, such as the darker Disciples or the more well-known Heroes of Might and Magic. The world of Lords of Magic is based in a high-fantasy setting, inspired by elements of Tolkien, D&D, as well as classic European folklore & legends, such as the Arthurian legend or the 90s reinterpretations of Greek mythology. You start as one of 8 factions based on elemental alignment - Life, Death, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Order, and Chaos, and choose your Lord type (Mage, Warrior, Thief). In the world of Urak you go around claiming different resources & clearing out dwellings to level up your capitol & surrounding structures, while your goal is to defeat the Lord of Death (or in case you are playing as Death, to defeat the Lord of Life). There is an amount of diplomacy present in the game in case you meet the other factions, however they are largely cold at the beginning so patience and trade are the way to friendship. Unlike in other similar games, the combat is not turn based, but instead works in real-time (with a pause button so you can execute commands). The game eventually featured an expansion which added a few more campaign storylines based on popular fables and stories, such as Beowulf or the Arthurian Legend. Overall, the game was pretty cool, and still has a small but loyal fanbase today - including fans who made patches to remove certain bugs and improve compatibility. The game is available on GoG and Steam, and runs on my two screen Windows 7 setup without any compatibility settings. I would recommend it to anyone who loves 90s fantasy games and is a bit of a nostalgia nut. :3

A lot of us have that game we played as a kid, or possibly are even playing now, that sometimes feels like it might not even be real due to the fact no one else has ever mentioned it. Either poorly published, only published in an obscure language / region, or just not well known, there's tons of really good games out there that you want others to know about - possibly even play! Highlight those games desperately in need of it here!

Awwww I miss these :3
